Questions distributors ask
Does DeskGas replace SDMS?
No. SDMS stays for bookings, cash memos and cylinder invoices. DeskGas is the agency's own office system: stock register, cash book, delivery men, expenses, NFR bills and real profit, which SDMS does not give you.
Which distributors can use it?
DeskGas is built for Indane distributors today, including reading the IOCL rate SMS. HP Gas and Bharat Gas are coming.
How long does it take each day?
About ten minutes for the daily close once your products and delivery men are set up: deliveries per man, any truck, sales, expenses and the cash count.
Does it work on a phone?
Yes. The owner's dashboard, approvals and reports work on a phone. Daily entry is easiest on a computer in the office.
Is my data safe?
Each agency's data is kept apart from every other agency at the database level, encrypted backups run every night, the owner is alerted to new logins, and every change is logged. Your data stays yours, and you can export it to Excel.
What does it cost?
The first 6 months are free with everything switched on. Then DeskGas Core is ₹11,999 a year (about ₹999 a month) or ₹6,999 every six months, plus GST. Add-ons are optional.
Do I need to install anything?
No. DeskGas runs in the browser. Open www.deskgas.com and log in from any computer or phone.
Can my CA see the accounts?
Yes, with the Accounts Pack. Your CA gets a read-only login with the GST working sheet, books, ledgers and a monthly Excel pack.
Is DeskGas from IndianOil?
No. DeskGas is an independent product of Qlooto Technologies, Greater Noida, and is not affiliated with IndianOil, HPCL or BPCL.
